By connecting Art and Culture through storytelling, the Xicano Puppet Theater helps youth reconnect with their Indigenous roots. Xochimilco Corona, along with her daughter Denise, are out to carry on the legacy of storytelling started by her mother Jessie Corona in the late 1970s.

Youth who participate in the In Lak'ech Denver Arts Puppets at the Parque Summer Camp will create their own puppets by recycling and repurposing everyday materials.  They will use their puppets to tell indigenous stories with our community to carry on the passion and legacy of the Xicano Puppet Theater.
